Theatre Design Services LLC offers the following theatre design and consulting services to architects:

Planning & Programming

Assisting the architect with:

• Development of the audience chamber plan and section, layout of seating, accessibility requirements
• Sightline studies
• Stage plan, section, and details
• Criteria and location of support spaces including control booths, follow spot booths, receiving dock, dressing rooms, shops, and storage areas 
• Audience and performer circulation
• Providing preliminary budgets of cost of Theater Systems

Schematic and Design Development Phase

Coordinate with design team:

• Provide loading criteria for stage rigging and variable acoustic systems
• Provide power reports describing interface and requirements of Theatre Systems with Electrical and HVAC systems
• Issue outline specifications for Theatre Systems (standard three part-CSI format)
• Issue AutoCAD drawings of plans, sections, and details of Theatre Systems
• Issue review letters of progress and milestone documents and drawings
• Issue revised budgets of cost of Theatre Systems
• Value Engineering

Construction Document Phase

Coordinate with design team:

• Issue specifications for Theatre Systems (standard three part-CSI format)
• Issue AutoCAD drawings of plans, sections, and details of Theatre Systems
• Issue review letters of progress and milestone documents and drawings
• Track and maintain budgets of cost of Theatre Systems
• Assist architect with FF&E schedules

Bidding or Negotiation Phase

• Assist in evaluating bids or negotiated proposals
• Review for approval proposed substitutions of equipment
• Coordinate responses to Pre-Bid Inquiries
• Issue Addenda as required

Construction Administration Phase

• Coordinate Responses to Request for Information
• Review and stamp submittals and shop drawings
• Perform site visits during construction
• Perform and document final checkout and testing of Theatre Systems
• As-built documentation
